It is our intent to provide an experience of highest quality at the best possible rates for all our passengers. When booking a flight with us over the phone or on the internet you are reserving seats in an aircraft with a very limited passenger capacity. We try to keep the costs down for all of our passengers by flying the right equipment for the number of passengers scheduled for that day. We do not try to cram 8 passengers into a balloon for 6. We also do not like to fly our balloons with empty seats. These empty seats will still cause us to incur operating costs, empty seats cause the rates to rise for all of our other patrons. Therefore we have just a few simple but non-negotiable rules for cancellation.
Due to the limited availability of passengers per balloon Thompson Aire requires a deposit to secure a flight date.
A flight deposit is good for 6 months. If the weather has prevented us from flying. A refund of $50 (per adult passenger) and/or a ($25 per Jr. Adult passenger) will be made to the credit/debit card used. If you have made a deposit for a "Private Flight" A refund of $75 (per passenger) will be made to the credit/debit card used. A wedding reservation can be cancelled in advance of the flight date (minimum two weeks) for a 90% refund.
If you do not show up for the pre-flight briefing or miss your flight there will be a 100% forfeiture of your deposit. No excuses!
We require 48 hours notice to cancel a booking. If you are booking a flight LESS THAN 48 hours from flight time you will not have the option to cancel
Cancellations must be done over the phone. You must contact your pilot directly.
Your flight may be canceled by our pilots on the day of the flight for weather or any safety concerns from our pilots.
The Pilot's decision is FINAL! Please do not try to forecast the weather!
Flight canceled for safety or weather reasons will be rescheduled for the first available dates.
The Flight Deposit is good for 6 months. If you are canceled by weather and you do not attempt to reschedule you will forfeit the deposit.
We will make every effort to move other passengers or provide space for any passenger postponed by inclement weather on the original flight date.
Please remember that a hot air balloon is a fair weather vehicle. We MUST have good conditions to fly safely. We ask that you are tollerent of our weather baised decisions. It is YOUR safety that we have in mind at all times. We understand how frustrating it can be when the weather does not cooperate with your chosen flight date. We suggest that everyone takes the time to read the "Weather or Not" page. Gift certificates are non refundable and expire 1 year from purchase
